Courts Across the GTA

Where your matter is heard depends on where the alleged offence took place. Criminal charges arising in York Region are typically heard at the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket, while matters from other parts of the GTA proceed through the courthouse serving that region — for example, the A. Grenville and William Davis Courthouse in Brampton for Peel Region, the Oshawa courthouse on Bond Street East for Durham Region, and the Milton courthouse on Steeles Avenue East for Halton Region. Toronto matters are heard at courthouses within the city.
